The 88th Geneva Motor Show clearly showed one thing: the automotive issue still is affecting people heavily. Or is there another reason to explain 660.000 visitors and 10.680 media representatives from all over the world?
Geneva offered a lot for curious visitors with 110 European and world premieres. Among them was the latest Formula E car that is supposed to be used for the next season of the electric racing series.
Anyway, e- and connected mobility have also been a big thing in all their facades at the motor show. But classic petrolheads also got their money’s worth, especially at the exhibition space of ABT Sportsline. The Kempten based company presented five powerful highlights straight away: the SQ5 and S5 Sportback (425 HP each), the RS3 (500 HP) as well as the RS4-R und RS5-R.
Hans-Jürgen Abt summarizes: “Geneva once again proved its position as the world’s leading fair of the automotive branch, not least because of the global impact that makes us as a company want to take part. And of course we are happy about all of the friends, partners, colleagues, customers and VIPs that visited our booth this year. Every single response to our exhibits was positive, which was also confirmed by our sales-colleagues” and adds “and all of that even though the visitors didn’t even get to experience the best parts of our cars – the sound” with a wink.
