When ABT Sportsline enhances an SUV, we know that a versatile car will become more dynamic, agile and powerful and more fun to drive. The Bavarian engineers see to upgrades that fit the car, and the designers lend it a striking and assertive appearance. And the new ABT Audi QS3 is another such success. “We wanted to show that compact dimensions, a powerful performance and premium standards can be perfectly combined,” says Hans-Jürgen Abt.
Some sportiness, perhaps? “ABT POWER-up”, the two 2l turbo diesel variants are even stronger. 150 hp (110 kW) become 180 hp (132 kW). The 184 hp (135 kW) production 2.0 TDI now shows 210 hp or 154 kW. And the latter’s torque now stands at 420 Nm, up from 380. The SUV is now very torquey, also when carrying a whole family and luggage galore. The same applies to the less stronger version, which now shows 380 Nm (production car: 340 Nm). You can really feel the TDI’s power if the car is equipped with ABT suspension parts. The springs, lowering the QS3’s CoG by 25mm on the front axle and 35mm on the rear, have a huge effect on its handling, for example. The car now corners as if it is on rails. If you want even more raciness, use the ABT height adjustable suspension kit. Depending on how you drive, the car’s CoG can be lowered by 30 – 60mm on the front axle and 40 – 70mm on the rear.
And you can always see that the Audi Q3 is a real ABT. After all, the aerodynamic package is customised and conveys a sense of sportiness right away. It consists of a front skirt add-on, mirror caps, a striking rear spoiler and rear skirt set plus a four-tailpipe exhaust. All this attests to its motorsport DNA. Be it door strip attachments in silver, charcoal, black-grey or “grid” (Gitteroptik), all components fit the compact SUV perfectly. The design is rounded off with ABT alloy wheels. For the QS3, the CR, DR, ER-C and FR are available in various dimensions and also in combination with high-performance tyres from Continental or Dunlop. ABT Sportsline is simply the tuner of choice if you want enhanced Audi or Volkswagen SUVs.
